Charlotte MCormick Obituary

Charlotte Ann McCormick, 73, of Andover Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side.  Following a long battle with cancer, she grew too weak and couldn’t fight any longer.

She was born in Bartow, WV on November 2, 1946, the daughter of Forest and Mary Ann (Arbogast) Turner.

Charlotte was a very hard worker and always worked outside the home.  She worked in various factories making car parts, making cabinets, and painting.  When she did have time to “relax” she could be found crocheting, completing a DIY project, or playing cards with friends.  Charlotte had a BIG heart for wildlife; you could always find food she had put out for the wildlife (especially Chippy).

Charlotte was the most amazing mom and homemaker.   There wasn't a project she couldn't take care of around the house on her own.  If she did not already know how to do it, she did her research and figured it out.  She was such a strong and independent person; a true inspiration to her entire family.

When Charlotte became a “mom” (she did not like to be called a “mother”) she couldn't imagine loving anyone more than she loved her daughter...that was until she became “Grammy”.  Her world revolved around the love for her family, but her happiest moments were those spent with her grandson, Ethan.

She is survived by her loving family: husband Ken; daughter Michele (James "Mike") Bennett; grandson Ethan Bennett and sisters Doris McLaughlin and Helen (Gary) Caplinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Nora Turner and Karen Zukoski.

The family is honoring Charlotte's wishes and no public services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, Charlotte would like donations given to help other patients battling colon cancer.  Charlotte was blessed with a very loving and caring cancer center that went above and beyond to make sure she had what she needed.  The Colorectal Cancer Alliance helps provide patients and their families with items to aid in their comfort.  They also collaborate with research institutions through our Chris4Life Research Program.  Donations can be made in honor of Charlotte Ann (Turner) McCormick at the Colorectal Cancer Alliance,  https://www.ccalliance.org/.
