ASHTABULA - Patsy Ruth Dick, 86, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday May 20, 2020 with her loved ones by her side.
She was born in Ashtabula on May 18, 1934 the daughter of Glen and Elizabeth (Lane) Merritt.
Patsy enjoyed relaxing in the comfort of her own home; whether it was watching an old Western on TV, listening to Country Music or doing a crossword puzzle.  Patsy's most cherished moments were those spent with her family.  She was blessed with a large and loving family who would always come and visit her.  Her world revolved around the love for her family.
She is survived by her children: Debby (Danny) Hotaling, Scott (Diane) Pinney, Tim Pinney, Sandy Pinney-Wagner, Sharon (Jeff) Young, Elizabeth (Rick) Sparks and Annett Coleman; 9 grandchildren as well as many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; her siblings: Jack Simmons, Joe Simmons, Edith Marrison and Tom Acker and many nieces and nephews.
Patsy was blessed with two wonderful husbands both whom preceded her in death; her first husband Volda Pinney and her second husband William Dick; her sons John and Travis Pinney; her grandson Daniel Hotaling, Jr.; her brother Leon Merritt and her daughter-in-law Linda Pinney.
A service to celebrate Patsy's life will be held once the ban on large gatherings has been lifted and becomes safer for people to be together.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of Bella Care Hospice for the loving and devoted care they gave Patsy.
